The Tibet Center (TTC) is celebrating 50 years as New York City’s oldest Tibetan Buddhist center. Founded by Khyongla Rato Rinpoche, TTC has provided the New York/New Jersey dharma community with free talks and discussions on not only Tibetan but also other Buddhist schools, as well as diverse faith traditions, science and philosophy. It also co-hosted six New York City teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. TTC recently expanded its curriculum to include secular ethics at His Holiness’s behest. Lectures include Monday and Wednesday classes in person and online, bi-weekly Saturday Tara mediations, special speakers and events.
