Late in 2022, The Tibet Center commissioned the creation two silver stupas in memory of the Center's founder - Reverend Khyongla Rato Rinpoche. The reliquary stupas contain some of Rinpoche’s remains and are now permanently housed at the reestablished Rato monastery in Karnataka, INDIA and Rinpoche’s center in the West - The Tibet Center NJ, USA.
The long awaited reliquary stupas of the 10th Rato Khyongla Rinpoche were completed and arrived at Rato monastery in Mundgod, India and to The Tibet Center here in the United States January 2024. We thank Norbu for his help in facilitating the project and all who donated towards the creation of stupas from the bottom of our hearts.
The reliquary stupas are objects of devotion, much like a Buddhist statue for future generations and intended to hasten Rinpoche's return to preside over The Tibet Center in the future.
