Our Programs

The Tibet Center offers classes in secular ethics, Buddhist philosophy, practice and meditation, as well as guest lectures and seminars on Buddhist thought and practice. TTC also invites speakers from other religious traditions and scientific disciplines to share their insights.

Regular classes are bi-weekly at 7 pm on Mondays in Manhattan (151 W. 30th Street, Third floor) and Wednesdays in South Orange, NJ (502 N Ridgewood Road).

Bi-weekly, TTC hosts a White Tara meditation/Sadhna in South Orange.

Khensur Rinpoche Nicholas Vreeland has been the Director of the Tibet Center since 1999. He is the Center’s resident teacher.

Tibet Center teachings are open to everyone regardless of their religious background or spiritual beliefs. Its students span the spectrum from merely curious to enthusiastic to serious practitioners. Texts that are used in classes can be purchased online.
