FREDERICK VREELAND 1927 - 2026

The Tibet Center is saddened by the passing of Frederick Dalziel Vreeland, today in Rome, Italy. Father of The Tibet Center’s Director, Khensur Rinpoche Nicholas Vreeland, Freck spent his life in service to his country, first in the US Navy and then in the foreign services from 1945 to 1993. He was appointed as Ambassador to Morocco by President George HW Bush in 1991. Mr. Vreeland also served as Vice President of John Cabot University and was an author. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Sandra, sons Nicholas and Alexander, grandchildren Victoria and Reed and the entire Vreeland family. Monks at Rato monastery in India are reciting prayers and The Tibet Center will recite The Sutra for the Recollection of the Noble Three Jewels for Ambassador Vreeland.
